Team Teaching Position

Summary

Kid Angles is looking for a Team Teacher who can work in collaboration with others to preform daily duties and task effectively for a toddler classroom. Teaching team will work together to provide high quality care, nurturing learning environments, and stimulating activities throughout the day in a play-based, Reggio Emilia inspired facility.

Working Hours: 8:30-5:30 Monday-Friday with one hour, unpaid, lunch break.

Duties

Job Duties include, but are not limited to...

• Treat all children with dignity and respect
• Model communication and mediate conflict resolution
• Plan and prepare the learning environment to best serve the children within the classroom
• Observe, record, and report behavior of children and their development
• Maintain progress of records/ portfolios of each child's growth and development
• Participate in professional organizations that work for the improvement of early childhood education
• Attend school functions
• Work in collaboration with families to promote understanding of their child's growth and development; encourage parent participation within the school community
• Supervise the classroom at all times
• Communicate effectively and professionally with children, families, and co-workers
• Delegate task and communicate instruction to support staff
• General Housekeeping task such as but not limited to, decluttering, sanitizing/disinfecting, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping/mopping floors, etc.
• Changing diapers every 2 hours OR as needed
• Serving/cleaning up meals
• Cleaning/ Sanitizing classroom materials
• Ability to sit down/ get up from the floor with children
• Willingness to sing, dance, read, and engage with children
• Observe and document children's learning / milestones
• Effectively use observations to assist in creating lesson plans based on children's needs / interests

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Background Check
• Physical
• Drug Test
• TB Test
• 20 Hours of training annually
• 1-year childcare experience
